Timeliness of HR Front End Changes

This Information Alert provides details about the submission of HR Front End transactions in a timely manner to UIC Human Resources (UICHR). It is vital that College/Unit HR Representatives submit all HR action items via the HR Front End (HRFE) system prior to the effective date of the hire or change of HR action. The Information Alert outlines the impact and importance for submitting these changes in advance.

If there are outstanding HRFE transactions that affect either new hire/newly eligible employment certifications or leave of absence certifications, we highly recommend these be submitted before the close of the current fiscal year as UICHR will need to address these prior to June 30, 2021 for CMS/SURS purposes. Late submissions that cross the fiscal year, may potentially create audit findings, so it is imperative that these are addressed prior to the June 30 deadline.
