Career Sites
What is the difference between external and internal Career Sites?
External searches (most searches), must always be posted on both the external career site AND the internal career site.
Internal searches will only be posted on the internal career site. Jobs that are in-house searches can be posted on the internal site. Jobs that are available to those outside the University are posted on the external site.
Which external job sites get updated through Cornerstone?
Currently Cornerstone does not feed any external job sites. Some sites will scrape and repost postings off of Cornerstone, such as LinkedIn and Indeed. If you do post to external sites, please follow the appropriate procedures to include the required language in those postings.
Will the regional locations or satellite offices have a separate career sites?
All jobs will be posted on the main UIC career site. These jobs can be filtered to each location, including Rockford, Peoria, and the Division of Specialized Care for Children.

System Features
What is Resume Parsing?
Resume Parsing is a feature of an applicant tracking system that automatically collects resume information, such as employment and education history, and populates it into the appropriate fields on an employment application. While resume parsing can help fill out the application, an applicant should always verify and correct data collected before submitting an application.
Troubleshooting
What happens if the feed from JDXpert fails?
If your vacancy request in JDXpert fails to load into Cornerstone. Please contact the UICHR Help Desk and we will investigate the issue.
What does it mean when the Description Feed Status or Qualifications Feed Status fields shows “failed” on the requisition?
The Description and Minimum Qualifications field on the requisition have a limitation of 3,950 characters on the integration feed. If it is exceeded, the formatting and some text will not come over to Cornerstone, resulting in the “failed” status. You will need to check the fields in JDXpert and update the field(s) accordingly in Cornerstone BEFORE the vacancy is posted. The character limitation does not apply in Cornerstone.
