Employee Recognition Award Ceremony
The Employee Recognition Award Ceremony is a university-wide event where we come together as a community to honor the dedication and commitment of UIC employees.
All UIC employees are invited to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our colleagues and recognize those who have dedicated 25 years and above to the university.
Employees celebrating service year milestones of 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, and 50 years with be recognized.
Merit awards presented during the ceremony include: Award of Merit (AOM), Chancellor’s Academic Professional Excellence (CAPE), Rising Star Award, Janice Watkins Award, and UI Health Recognition Awards.

Parking Information
PARKING LOCATION: Event parking is located at Lot 5, 1135 South Morgan Street. The entrance is on Morgan Street, half a block North of Roosevelt Road.
PARKING FEES: Parking relocation will be honored in Lot 5 for attendees with a current UIC campus parking permit, which must be displayed at all times. Without a UIC campus parking permit, a special flat rate of $10.00 will be charged for those who are attending this event.
Please note: If lot 5 reaches capacity, additional parking may be available at other UIC parking lots such as the Maxwell Street Parking Lot (MSPS). Standard parking fees will apply.
Venue Security
Like other entertainment venues in Chicago and around the country, the UIC Isadore and Sadie Dorin Forum has security measures you should be aware of. These enhancements include:
- The use of metal detectors,
- bag checks,
- certain bag restrictions
*Please note that all bags and purses brought into the venue must be no larger than 12”x 6”x12.” Some bags are prohibited, including backpacks, luggage, briefcases, and computer bags.
