Retirement Recognition

Each year UIC holds its annual Retirement Celebration recognizing faculty and staff who retired from University service between August 16th and August 15th. Retirees may invite two (2) family members and one (1) current UIC employee to celebrate with them. All retirees in attendance will be honored and will receive a special gift.

Guests
All invited Retirees are welcome to bring two (2) personal guests and one (1) guest who is a current UIC Employee. We kindly request all guests are 12 years or older. Guest(s) must be included in your RSVP.

Parking Information
Event parking is located at Lot 5, 1135 South Morgan Street. The entrance is on Morgan Street, half a block North of Roosevelt Road.
Retiree Parking Voucher Sticker: Each retiree will receive one (1) parking voucher sticker at event check-in that will allow you to park free of charge in Lot 5. Keep the ticket you pull when entering the lot. You will present the ticket and voucher to the attendant upon exiting the lot.
Parking Fees: Parking relocation will be honored in Lot 5 only for any attendee who has a current UIC campus parking permit, which must be displayed at all times. Without a UIC campus parking permit or the parking voucher provided to retirees, a special flat rate of $10.00 will be charged for those who are attending this event.
Accessible Parking: If accessible parking is required, please including this information in your RSVP or contact Special Programs: specialprograms@uillinois.edu by March 31, 2023.

COVID-19 Event Guidelines
UIC Event Guidelines are determined by the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Health Affairs. As of 12/12/22 the policy guidelines include the following:
- Health Screening: Everyone attending the event, including guests, will be required to complete a health-screening questionnaire. This form will include name, contact information, and questions to ensure guests are not exhibiting COVID symptoms
- Masking is recommended, but not required.
- Social distancing is not required and opportunities for spacing will be provided.
- Anyone experiencing COVID-19 symptoms should stay at home.

Venue Security
Like other entertainment venues in Chicago and around the country, the UIC Isadore and Sadie Dorin Forum has security measures you should be aware of. These enhancements include:
- The use of metal detectors,
- bag checks,
- certain bag restrictions
*Please note that all bags and purses brought into the venue must be no larger than 12”x 6”x12.” Some bags are prohibited, including backpacks, luggage, briefcases, and computer bags.
