Retirement Recognition
Each year UIC holds its annual Retirement Celebration recognizing faculty and staff who retired from University service. Retirees may invite up to three guests to celebrate with them. All retirees in attendance will be honored and will receive a special gift.
2025 Retirement Celebration Information
Our next celebration will occur Thursday, April 24, 2025 and will include employees who retired from the University between August 16, 2023 and December 31, 2024.

Parking Information
Updated Information!
Event parking is located at the Maxwell Street Parking Structure (MSPS) 701 W. Maxwell Street
Please note: If MSPS reaches capacity, additional parking may be available at other UIC parking lots for a fee. The Halsted Street Parking Structure is equipped with automatic stations that will accept the retiree parking vouchers provided.
Retiree Parking Voucher: Each retiree will receive one (1) parking voucher at event check-in that will allow you to park free of charge in MSPS. Keep the ticket you pull when entering the lot. You will present the ticket and voucher to the attendant upon exiting the lot. You may also use the automated stations at the exit.
Parking Fees: Parking relocation will be honored in MSPS only for any attendee who has a current UIC campus parking permit, which must be displayed at all times. Without a UIC campus parking permit or the parking voucher provided to retirees, a special flat rate of $10.00 will be charged for those who are attending this event.
Accessible Parking: If accessible parking is required, please including this information in your RSVP or contact Employee Recognition: specialprograms@uillinois.edu by March 24, 2025.
Venue Security
Like other entertainment venues in Chicago and around the country, the UIC Isadore and Sadie Dorin Forum has security measures you should be aware of. These enhancements include:
- The use of metal detectors,
- bag checks,
- certain bag restrictions
*Please note that all bags and purses brought into the venue must be no larger than 12”x 6”x12.” Some bags are prohibited, including backpacks, luggage, briefcases, and computer bags.

All professional photographs captured at the event will be available for complimentary download on our online gallery after the event.
Guests
All invited Retirees are welcome to bring up to three (3) guests total. This includes personal guests and UIC employees. We kindly request all guests are 12 years or older. Guest(s) must be included in your RSVP.
